Your Q2 Prep Plan: Part Two
Plus: Pitching Power Hour is next week and Happy Anniversary to Clover and Ebenezer!
Happy Friday, friends!
In last week’s newsletter, I brought you part one of my quarters’-end reflection questions. As we prepare for Q2, this is a good time to examine what has worked well (or not) in terms of our finances, our creativity, and our work in general. Today, I’m happy to share part two and it’s my hope that everyone will take a quiet hour or two this afternoon or this weekend to work ON their business and not just IN it.
Before we dive in… a reminder to pro members that the next Pitching Power Hour is just around the corner! Will I see you next Wednesday?
The Pitching Power Hour is a monthly co-working session that’s a perk for paid subscribers. We meet at 11:00 AM (EST) on the first Wednesday of the month in order to share our big pitching challenges, work together in silence on them, and then enjoy the benefits of accountability by telling everyone how it went when our hour together is nearly up. The track record for success is HUGE. We’ve even seen people send out a pitch half-way through the session and get a response before the hour is out!
Paid subscribers, your Zoom link is at the bottom of this email.
Secondly, this weekend marks the one year anniversary of welcoming Clover and Ebenezer into our lives!

Are you prioritizing….
Having time in an art gallery?
Going to your favourite neighbourhood?
Getting in your daily walk?
Spending time in nature/in the forest?
Spending time with self-employed friends who aren’t writers nor in traditional employment?
Something else that makes you feel grounded and restored?
For Your Financial Side: In this past quarter…
What have you sold the most of (what kind of article, service, etc…)?
What has been the easiest to sell?
What has been the hardest to sell?
What has been the most profitable?
Taking all this information into account, will you change anything going forward? For instance, will you prioritize spending more time on the things that have been the easiest or most profitable? Will you start scaling back on the things that are the hardest to sell?
For Your Organizing and Planning Side: In the coming quarter…
